do I need a reservation if we arrive between 5 and 5:30 for 2 people?
Yes, definitely!
What is it like dining in since reopening?
My girlfriend and I had a great experience when we went a few weeks ago. Everyone in there wears masks. You're required to wear masks up until your seated. They also don't seat you right next to people. Waiters were really helpful, fast, and kind. They even gave us a anniversary ticket kinda thing. Definitely gave us an experience we're not gonna' forget.
Is there a dress code?
Coats and ties are not required. Slacks, dress jeans, dress shorts with a dress shirt or a Polo style shirt are great. We require that gentlemen wear a collared shirt. T-shirts, cut off shorts, and athletic wear are not permitted. We ask gentlemen to remove their hats in the Dining room.
Are you open on sunday?
They are open this Sunday. You can make a reservation on opentable
what are your hours?
Hi Mario, Thank you for your interest in dining at GW Fins. We open daily at 5:00pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, we close at 10:30pm. On Sundays through Thursdays, we close at 10:00pm. We hope to serve you soon.

Impeccable service from the reservation desk to the table. Kenny is the best server ever! Food was brought to the table hot and delicious. Gary was host with the most. Checked on every table, present but not intrusive in the least. As a local, I am so happy to have GW Fins as a seafood choice in NOLA. P

Food was excellent. Service was impeccable, thank you Cordell. The entire dining experience was exceptional. We'll absolutely be back. Be sure to order the lobster pot sticker appetizer, it was so good we took two orders to go!

Had heard of Fins and finally able to enjoy! Still in Covid mode but all wait staff in cheerful moods! Nice selection of wines. We started with Tuna Taco appetizer! Delicious! I had the Halibut special they are known for...also delicious. Red Snapper also great. Sweet potato dish one of the best I’ve ever had. Great experience!!

They have one of the best seafood selections in the city... that isn't l fried ... it was so incredible.. the lobster dumplings was an explosion of incredible flavor.. bottles of wine at a more then reasonable price. Even during Covid restrictions the staff was super friendly and helpful. Will be back as soon as I can.. I wanted to order the whole menu.. thank you. See yall soon

Such delicious food. So worth it all. The waiter was absolutely amazing, the service is top quality. My husband had a steak that was aged 6 months. So perfect, so much flavor and buttery soft.

No one contacted me to let me know my reservation for tonight was canceled because they closed. No call, text, email, nothing. My party of 9 found out after driving 2 hours to get there and showed up at the door. GW Fins texted me yesterday to confirm my reservation with me. My mom also called yesterday with a question about the menu. I understand the precautions that have to be taken but I would have like to have been contacted about the cancelation. Do better.

GW Fins is the best restaurant in the United States. Incredible food, service, vibe and location! Staff is genuinely kind. I would recommend everyone to come. I wish I live here, so I can come more frequently. 💕(Excellent social distancing measures)

My favorite restaurant from my 4 days in Nola. The service was amazing with a team servers to ensure everything was taken care of promptly. The ambience is incredible and located right in the French Quarter. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the scalibut and my eyes closed like the critic from Ratatouille when it hit my mouth. Unexpectedly amazing, and well deserving of it's high rating.
